(Goodhue, Minn.) August 19, 2020 - CEO/President of Knobelsdorff (KE), Karl von Knobelsdorff, was recently appointed as Principal on the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Code-Making Panel 14, with an emphasis on Chapter 5 Special Occupancy and Hazardous Locations, articles 500-516.

The committee’s primary responsibility is to create documents on minimizing the risk of electricity as a source of electric shock and as a potential ignition source of fires and explosions, as well as creating the language to help minimize the propagation of fire and explosions due to electrical installations.
